Here's a video taken by Marie who was in the audience when I played at at the Secret Circus in Liverpool in February 2016.

My singer friend Frankii Phoenix is a Circus regular, but this was the first time the audience had heard her sing.

It was my first time playing in front of an absolutely jam-packed nightclub crowd. We had an actual angel for a stage manager (he had wings and everything!) and I was blown away by the audience response.

I was even more delighted a few days later when I was sent the link to this video!

The song is The Nightingale by Deborah Henson-Conant and it's now a regular and much loved part of my set.
